The Admission to Public Universities through Direct Intake
The Direct Intake (Saluran Terus) refers to an alternative pathway for students to gain admission to Malaysia's Public Universities without having to go through the traditional centralized application process administered by the Malaysian Higher Education Ministry's admission system or better known as UPU.
Direct Intake offered by Public Universities aim to provide other alternative, especially to students who do not get the programme of their choice due to intense competition at UPU. However, the places allocated for the Direct Channel are very limited subject to those who make an early application.
Through strategic collaboration with Malaysia's Public Universities, namely Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), Uni Assist becomes the preferred one-stop centre that opens Direct Access to various full-time academic programmes (Foundation Studies, Diploma & Bachelor's Degree) for post-secondary school leavers with SPM/STPM/ Diploma/ A Level or equivalent qualifications.

Aside from UPUOnline, Public Universities are now open direct entry routes to the university for 2024/ 2025 Academic Session through a special channel aimed at providing other alternatives, especially to students with SPM / STPM and other equivalent qualifications to pursue your dream programme with a brighter career prospects.

Less Competition
Greater chances of enrolment for programme of your choices as you do not have to compete for the programme and university through UPUOnline.

No "Merit" Assessment for Admission
Unlike UPUOnline, the application through the Direct Intake does not require the consideration of applicant's merit points for admission.

Academic Pathway Opportunities
Students who have successfully completed their Foundation Studies and Diploma will have the opportunity to continue directly to the Mainstream Bachelor's Degree programme (with subsidized fees).
