IIUM Foundation Programme
Intake: August & December
The foundation programmes at IIUM are designed to provide students with the required knowledge and necessary skills to prepare them for entry into the degree programmes offered by the various Kulliyyah's (faculties) at IIUM. It is meant for students who have successfully obtained the IGCSE, GCSE qualification (previously known as GCE O-Level) or its equivalent from Malaysia or from any part of the world. This programme is offered for August and November intake.

IIUM was established on 23 May 1983 and founded upon Islamic principles where Islamic values are inculcated into all disciplines. The university is sponsored by eight governments and the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and considered as one of the top five Islamic universities of the world.

The IIUM Foundation program serves as a pathway for students to gain entry into undergraduate programmes offered at the International Islamic University Malaysia. Upon successful completion of the Foundation programme, students can directly progress into their chosen degree programmes.
Streamlined Admission Process
The Direct Intake option of the IIUM Foundation program simplifies the admission process for students. It eliminates the need for students to apply through a centralized application system and allows them to directly apply to the Foundation programme of their choice at IIUM.
