Exclusively offered through Direct Intake

Aside from UPU, few Public Universities are now open direct entry routes through a special channel aimed at providing other alternatives, especially for Malaysian and International students with SPM, IGCSE and other equivalent qualifications.​ The Direct Intake is a great optional route and a worthwhile investment as many students have already enjoyed the opportunity to pursue their dream programme with a brighter career prospects.

  • ​Less Competition
    Greater chances of enrolment for programme of your choices as you do not have to compete for the programme and university through UPU.
     

  • No "Merit" Assessment for Admission
    Unlike UPU, the application through the Direct Channel does not require the consideration of applicant's merit points for admission.
     

  • Pursuing Your Preferred Programme
    Applicants do not have to compete for the programme and university of their choice as is the case at UPU. This is because there are many students who obtain high grades in SPM will apply for programmes at UPU Online, especially in popular fields such as Medicine, Law, Engineering and others.

    Applicants will receive an offer directly from the university upon fulfilling admission requirements

    Students will follow the same programme and enjoy all facilities as other students who receive an offer through UPU.
     

  • Academic Pathway Opportunities
    Students who have successfully completed their studies will have the opportunity to continue directly to the UMPSA's Mainstream Bachelor Degree programme without going through a merit competition at UPU Online (with subsidized fees).

UMPSA Foundation Programme

FASTEST & DIRECT ROUTE TO UMPSA's BACHELOR'S DEGREE AND DUAL DEGREE

UMPSA Foundation programme is only available through Direct Intake. The programme is not offered through UPU Online.

Foundation in Science and Technology

This programme provides students with the theoretical and practical foundations for knowledge and skills acquisition in various disciplines of study in sciences or arts and prepares them for undergraduate studies at Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs).

 

At the end of this programme, students will be able to explain concepts, theories, and principles in their area of study, source and process data using appropriate digital/technology applications, analyse and apply information to solve problems, and develop their skills for lifelong learning and communication in responsible ways.

EDUCATION PATHWAYS

Upon successful completion of the Foundation/ Diploma programme, students may apply directly to UMPSA into any of the related Bachelor's Degree programme or any other public universities or to further studies at any private universities.

​

Foundation/ Diploma graduates will also have the opportunity to pursue their study in Dual Degree Programme (two certificates from two institutions) under the collaboration of UMPSA and universities abroad.

For applicants who do not meet the entry requirements of the preferred programme, we will recommend other programmes that match your qualifications. Applicants must complete the Pre-Assessment Form with correct information and upload the relevant examination results.
